Would it be better to go to a State College or a Private College?

Either choice is reasonable. I would think about what you want from your college experience. At a state university, you'll have bigger classes with more people. You'll have a lot more options for classes and extracurricular activities. At a private college, you'll have smaller classes with individualized attention from your professors. There will be less class options and less extracurriculars.
