Tips on when to buy a plane ticket?

I was wondering of any tips/secrets on getting the cheapest airfare. On what days are they the lowest to buy? I've been checking ALL of the travel sites, is there any specific one that is the best? I am flying from Los Angeles to Miami at the end of March on weekdays.
