Social security name change due to marriage and divorce?

I got married about 13 years ago, and changed everything but my social security card to my married name. I have since got divorced. I finally went today to change my social security card to my married name. I didn't mention divorce while I was there, so do I have to provide divorce papers, even if I want to just keep my married name? I'm NOT changing it back to my maiden name. (The line at the ss office was out the door and around the building, and I had about 60 people ahead of me, just to get into the building, that was the reason, I never changed it. :)
