What should I do with this camera?

I just got a new camera. It's a fujifilm xp and what not. I did a little research and I looked at what other people said about it any everything and mostly I got positive feed back. So I got it. Once i got it I immediately turned it on and started exploring. First thing I noticed picture quality is awful at night. And it takes forever to take the picture. Also the video quality is AWFUL! Totally horrible and thats something I was really looking for because I take a lot of videos. But the only thing is I wanted a waterproof camera and i tested it and it works fine underwater. So what should I do? Keep it and see if it gets better or return it? Thanks!
